Dental Assistant

State of the art dental practice on the west side of Lake Norman (20 min from uptown Charlotte) is currently seeking a part-time DAII. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a DAII. It is important for candidate to be energetic, a team player, and one who believes in giving the highest quality of patient care. Must be familiar with cosmetic and higher end restorative dentistry; especially crowns, bridges, veneers, and implants. Denver Dental Arts is a start-up practice that opened in 2016. We offer all aspects of general dentistry including surgical placement and restoration of dental implants, Invisalign, digital impressions, in-office mill, oral and IV sedation, and TMJ therapy. Job starts: Immediately Responsibilities Welcome patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Exceptional chairside manner Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Experience using an Itero scanner preferred Sedation and surgical assisting a plus Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Day shift Experience: Dental assisting: 3 years (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Denver, NC: Relocate before starting work (Preferred) Work Location: In person
