Director - Private Credit Originations (Tech)

Our ClientOur client is a rapidly growing boutique private credit firm focused on providing flexible capital solutions to lower middle market companies across the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, with a particular emphasis on software. Backed by institutional capital and led by an experienced investment team, the firm has built a strong reputation for speed, certainty of execution, and thoughtful structuring.The RoleThe VP / Director of Originations will be responsible for sourcing, developing, and executing new investment opportunities within the Software and broader TMT ecosystem. This is a highly visible, revenue-generating role focused on building relationships with sponsors, founders, and intermediaries to drive deal flow.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and originate new private credit investment opportunities within software and TMTDevelop and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, investment banks, and direct borrowersLead deal execution from initial screening through term sheet and closing in partnership with underwriting/investment teamsEvaluate opportunities at a high level (business model, credit profile, structure) prior to internal underwritingRepresent the firm in the market, including conferences, meetings, and industry eventsMaintain a strong pipeline and provide regular updates to senior leadership on market activity and deal flowCollaborate cross-functionally with credit, legal, and portfolio management teamsQualifications6+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or direct lendingProven track record of sourcing and/or executing transactions within software or broader TMTStrong network across private equity sponsors, founders, and intermediariesDeep understanding of capital structures, credit underwriting, and deal structuringHighly entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a lean, fast-paced environmentStrong communication and relationship-building skills
