Android Developer

Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of the platform for consumer and commercial facing mobile products. Must be able to coordinate and manage input from business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise and be responsible for the design and execution of large-scale technology initiatives.The role is a self-organized Senior Android Developer with solid Java & Kotlin development experience. In this position, you will work in a dynamic environment as a member of Agile Scrum teams. Your strong technical leadership, problem solving abilities, coding, testing, and debugging skills is just a start. You must be dedicated to filling product backlogs, delivering production-ready code, go beyond the routine, and prepared to do a little bit of everything.Key Responsibilities: Build native apps for any Android devicesDeploy apps to storesIntegrate to backend systems quickly and easilyProvide support, testing and system enhancementsProvide troubleshooting as necessary in testing, QA and Production environmentsIdentify applications bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performanceContribute to a team-oriented environment that requires both solid interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsParticipate in code reviews and take an active role in developing best practices within the teamAct as a point of escalation when needed to help triage and resolve production issues. Use business and system knowledge to analyze change requests, recreate problems, and differentiate between education/training issues and true production problems.Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field5+ years developing native Android apps and enterprise mobile applications development using Java and Kotlin.Strong hands-on experience with Android SDKs, Android Studio, and unit testing.3+ years working on REST API development and using Git.Leadership skills, ability to become the go-to person on the Android team.Strong problem-solving and communication skills.Able to manage multiple projects and collaborate with teams.Comfortable working across all levels of the organization.Appreciation for good UX/UI design.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum teams.Eager to learn and grow professionally.
