Customer Service Engineer

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Customer Service Engineer in the OEM division. This key position will provide engineering support to OEM customers and Ziegler Power Systems Sales Personnel. This is a fast paced position with a broad scope of responsibility and autonomy while you work with customers to design CAT engines into their chassis. This process requires initiative and creativity as you work directly with our customers engineering team to make every installation a success.Responsibilities:Partners and collaborates with customer to define total requirementsWorks directly with the customer's engineering personnel to analyze their power systems needs and assists them in finding the most efficient product solutionCompiles technical data required for our customers to make informed decisions on whether to purchase our engines or notParticipates in technical sales calls and presentationsActs as key negotiator on all commercial aspects of assigned accountsDevelops or packages 3D drawing packages of the engine and related components recommended for each customerLeads field support to OEM customers to assist with the integration of our engineCompletes field audits and testing of installed engine installations in OEM equipmentManages customer engine inventory, forecasts and engine ordersDocuments the engine and component specifications required by individual customersMonitors and manages Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure they are currentQualifications:Bachelor's Degree required4+ years of Engineering experience requiredStrong electrical engineering knowledge and mechanical aptitude requiredElectrical Power, Electrician, Generator or Reciprocating Engine experience strongly preferredAcceptable driving record and valid driver's license requiredStrong customer service and communication skillsStrong PC knowledge with MS Office experiencePersonal Characteristics: Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement OrientationTravel:Up to 25% travelMinimum Physical Requirements:Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearingWorking Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location.
