Product Development Engineer

Serving a diverse range of markets, they pride themselves on innovation and the ability to provide customized solutions as well as a robust line of standard products.As a Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing environmentally friendly products. You will collaborate closely with our cross-functional team to ensure that our products meet the highest standards for sustainability, quality, and performance.Responsibilities:Product Design: Lead the design and development of new products that align with our sustainability principles, incorporating sustainable materials and processes.Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept development to commercialization, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability goals.Performance Optimization: Optimize product performance while minimizing environmental footprint, balancing functionality with sustainability.Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize environmental impact.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales, to ensure successful product development and commercialization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.1-3 years of hands-on experience in product design and development, with a focus on:Defining product requirements and specificationsDeveloping innovative concepts and detailed designsConducting thorough product analysis and testing to ensure quality and performanceCollaborating with manufacturing teams to successfully transfer designs into productionProven expertise in metal manufacturing processes, including machining and assembly techniques.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly those related to sustainable materials and practices.Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability standards.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in flow control product design and manufacturing.Knowledge of APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing, and 8D Corrective Actions.Company BenefitsThis client offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, paid time-off, steel-toed shoes reimbursement, a casual dress work environment, and a solid 401(k) retirement plan to promote financial security.All applicants applying for this job opening must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have US residency at the time of application.
