If you love food, love kids, and want your work to mean something, this role is for you, and we look forward to meeting you!Job Type: Full-timeBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision401K and 401K MatchPaid Time OffLife InsurancePosition Summary:The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of nutritious meals and snacks for children in our full-day program, following planned menus andmaintaining a safe, well-run kitchen.What you'll do:Prepare and serve fresh, nutritious meals and snacks daily for enrolled childrenAccommodate children with restricted diets with care and creativityPlan weekly menus in collaboration with our contracted nutritionist, meeting CCFP meal pattern requirementsPurchase food and supplies and maintain accurate records for the Child Care Food ProgramJump into the classroom to support teachers and interact with children when neededMaintains verification of food and non-food purchases to meet CCFP (Child Care Food Program) requirements. In collaboration with the Contracted Nutritionist, develops weekly menus to meet CCFP meal pattern requirements. Maintains a safe and sanitary kitchen, pantry and storage areas. Qualifications and Experience:Minimally 2 years cooking experience , institutional, school or childcare settings with children under 3 years of age.A high school diploma or equivalent requiredDrivers License and reliable transportation (may serve multiple locationsPreferred Qualifications:3-12 units in Early Childhood Development or enrolled in school.
