DescriptionThis is an anticipated annual internal posting for current NAPS faculty members. The following anticipated position is stipended per the NATA contract and is for the school year only.Job Goal: To oversee and manage the daily operational functions of the school, ensuring efficiency in scheduling, communication, resource allocation, and event coordination to support a high-functioning learning environment at Drury High School.Supervision: Reports to the Building Principal.Education, Work Experience, and Licensure:Required: Massachusetts certification in the relevant subject area or grade level content. Minimum of three years teaching experience.Preferred: Experience in an educational leadership role.Performance Responsibilities:* Handles operational tasks that impact the day-to-day functioning of the school, including the management of programs, including but not limited to Adaptive Scheduler for Flex.* Collaborates with the Director of Assessment and Data with coordinating all testing and messaging to students and families (MCAS, AP, i-Ready, Finals).* Collects and writes articles for the Drury Quarterly and sends to the Central Office Communication Coordinator for publication.* Manages, tracks and emails Crew point letters to families and students.* Creates the weekly schedule and updates lobby displays using Quickesign or other platforms.* Manages the school calendar.* Tracks and manages field trips and conference request forms.* Manages/oversees substitute classroom teachers and the daily sub matrix.* Is responsible for the creation and disbursement of the Weekly Update.* Is responsible for the dissemination of Drury specific Thrillshare announcements.* Manages the Edgenuity platform to ensure smooth implementation of credit recovery and blended learning initiatives, including creating accounts, enrolling students, adapting course structures when necessary, and entering final course grades in PowerSchool, but not daily monitoring and instruction of students.* Oversees the coordination of school-wide events such as Open House, Learning Conferences, Day of Service, End-of-Semester Showcases, Student Recognition Ceremonies, Crew Olympics, etc., and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.* Ensures all teachers' grades are accurately reported in PowerSchool, verifies accuracy, monitors and rectifies incomplete grades, and manages the printing and distribution of progress reports and report cards.* Supports school logistics and resource allocation to enhance instructional time and reduce disruptions.* Assists the Principal in the execution of state reports, presentations, records requests, PRS complaints, and professional development materials.* Assists with the building of the master schedule.* Attends bi-weekly ILT meetings during the school year.* Attends two full-day ILT meetings in the summer.* Works 5 additional days in the summer as indicated in the contract and as directed by the principal.* Attends major school events, including but not limited to class night, graduation, awards ceremonies, banquets, etc.* Aids in the interviewing and hiring of new faculty and staff during the school year and during the summer.* Manages all requisition orders for school supplies and advises the principal on budget spending.* Assists the principal in creating and disseminating job postings.* Manages calendar logistics to support the efficiency of the Principal and Dean of Curriculum and Instruction.* Teaches classes as directed by the Principal (a minimum of one class per year).* Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Principal.Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally. There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer, typewriter, keyboard, calculator, and other business machines.Environmental Conditions: The occupant is required to work indoors.
