It is responsible for overseeing all aspects of rugby, including youth, college and adult programs, men's and women's national teams including Olympic and World Cup teams, competitions, coaching education, and player development.Position OverviewThe Accounting & Finance Manager reports directly to the CFO and oversees the day-to-day financial operations, ensures accurate and timely reporting, and provides financial management support.This role blends hands-on accounting with financial management, making it ideal for a professional wanting to work in both accounting and finance.The manager will partner with and manage the outsourced accounting staff, ensure all bills are paid, receivables collected, process payroll, manage month-end close, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow and partner with CFO to drive financial clarity and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & ReportingLead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, expense reimbursements, company credit cards and general ledgerManage month-end and year-end close processesPrepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP for CFO reviewReview account reconciliations and ensure data integrityCoordinate annual audit activities and support external auditorsProvide financial systems administration for the organization's financial systems including user management, training, and support.Financial Planning & AnalysisSupport development of annual budgets and rolling forecastsPerform variance analysis working with budget owners to ensure that actuals and forecasts are accurate and provide actionable insights to CFODevelop financial models to support strategic decisions and scenario planningMonitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metricsCompliance, Controls & Process ImprovementMaintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulationsOversee tax filings (1099s, 1042s, 990, VAT) and regulatory & grant reportingIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance system efficiencyLeadership & CollaborationPartner with and manage outsourced accounting staffEstablish clear expectations, workflows, and performance standardsPartner with budget owners to support operational and strategic initiativesQualificationsRequiredHands-on, detailed oriented mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleevesCustomer service oriented (internal and external)Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field4+ years of progressive accounting/finance experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingStrong systems skills (QuickBooks or similar ERP experience)Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferredCPA, CMA, or equivalent credentialExperience in nonprofit environmentsAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience with Quickbooks Online, Ramp, Bill.com/Divvy, and BudgytCompensation & Benefits (Colorado EPEWA-Compliant)Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually. The following represents the good-faith salary range and benefits package for this role.
