Join us and use your skills to serve the Kingdom!Part TimeA day in the life of a SMCC Security Officer:In the role of Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to:Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for HimConduct yourself as a security professional at all timesCreate an atmosphere to deter undesirable activityGreet all staff and visitors whenever practical to maintain a consistent visible presenceMonitor pedestrian and vehicular traffic for unauthorized personsWork with a team of Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment throughout the Shadow Mountain CampusesOperate various equipment, such as building access control, fire and burglar alarm, video cameras and ministry vehiclesReport hazardous conditions and follow all notification procedures in case of emergencyIdentify and immediately address threats to persons and propertyMake proper emergency notifications to Police, Fire and EMSBe familiar with all Shadow Mountain Community Church facilities, policies/proceduresMonitor campus activity through regular physical patrolsControl access to campus during non-business hours; open/close and secure all buildings as scheduledDocument all note-worthy activity in shift log or appropriate incident reportAll other duties as assignedQualifications Valid California Driver license and acceptable driving record (Less than 2 points)High School Diploma or GEDValid California BSIS Guard CardValid California BSIS Firearms PermitPossess or obtain a valid California BSIS Expandable Baton Card within first 60 days of employmentPossess or obtain a valid California BSIS Chemical Agent Card within the first 60 days of employmentPossess or obtain Electronic Control Device certification within the first 60 days of employmentAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Required to work flexible schedules to include day/night/weekendsBasic computer skillsMotivated self-starter that identifies a need and takes initiativeHighest levels of maturity, character and integrityPatient with routine tasks and capable of quickly transitioning to crisis responseFluency in English is requiredJob Location: San Diego County, CaliforniaType: Part TimeBenefits:Retirement eligible after 1 year40 Hours of Paid Vacation48 hours of Paid Sick
