Senior Accountant-Manufacturing

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a manufacturing company in the Hampshire area to hire a Senior Accountant to support month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and overall accounting operations. Key Responsibilities : Prepare month-end journal entries and support month/year-end close processesReconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepanciesAssist with financial statement preparation and reporting activitiesPartner with FP&A, management, and other departments to improve financial processesSupport invoicing, AP activities, and additional accounting functions as neededUtilize ERP systems and reporting tools to analyze financial data and generate reportsCreate and maintain Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysisEnsure compliance with GAAP standards and internal accounting proceduresSupport special projects and continuous improvement initiativesQualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required4+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment requiredStrong understanding of month-end close and financial reporting processesExperience working with ERP systems and accounting softwareAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively#InC1Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
