Principle R&D Engineer
Overview
In this role you will lead and participate in the design, prototyping, and verification of wireless tech projects, shaping strategic R&D initiatives. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage schedules, and ensure rigorous technical deliverables from concept to field testing. You’ll engage customers, prepare technical materials, and contribute to business development efforts to expand the technology portfolio. This position offers impact through advancing wireless systems and collaborating with senior R&D peers in a fast-paced, hybrid West LA environment.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical management of R&D programs including system design and requirementsSet and track development schedules; oversee design, simulation, software, FPGA, and testingEngage customers and prepare technical materials; report to management for planningLead R&D business development activities such as whitepapers and proposalsPitch current technology and outline future enhancements to customers and government/industryCollaborate on large team projects and develop a technology portfolio and pipelineSupervise engineers on projects as neededParticipate in end-to-end technology development cycle: design to field testingSupport capture efforts and client engagement for demonstrations
