Construction Field Engineer
CYTRIC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated field engineer across electrical, mechanical, plumbing (MEP), and general construction projects, with a strong focus on breaker testing and power system maintenance. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily site activities, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality work in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise field crews performing electrical breaker testing, maintenance, and installationOversee execution of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general construction work scopesCoordinate daily job site activities, manpower, materials, and equipmentInterpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to guide field executionPerform and oversee breaker testing, troubleshooting, and reporting (low and medium voltage systems)Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and project-specific requirementsMaintain strict adherence to safety protocols and enforce site safety practicesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clientsMonitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasksMaintain daily reports, field documentation, and test recordsIdentify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or reworkEnsure quality control and proper installation practices across all tradesSupport commissioning, startup, and final project closeout activitiesQualificationsMinimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction and maintenance, with foreman or supervisory experienceStrong hands-on experience with breaker testing (LV/MV), switchgear, and power distribution systemsWorking knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and general construction practicesAbility to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and construction drawingsFamiliarity with testing equipment and procedures (e.g., insulation resistance, contact resistance, trip testing)Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsOSHA 30 certification preferredValid driver’s license requiredPreferred SkillsExperience with SCADA, control systems, or industrial environmentsKnowledge of commissioning procedures and reportingExperience working on government or mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospitals, data centers)Ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors efficientlyWork EnvironmentField-based role with work at construction sites, industrial facilities, and commercial buildingsMay require night work, weekend shifts, or outage coordinationAbility to lift equipment and work in physically demanding environmentsBenefits:Flexible scheduleAbility to Commute:Bethesda, MD 20892 (Preferred)Work Location: In person
