PGD Engineer - Solar Inverter Team Location: Palm Beach, FL Hybrid (Open to Relocation) Contract: 1 year+ Currently seeking a PGD Engineer who can apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. This candidate will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. This position requires supervision only related to high level objectives and critical issues. Primary Areas of Responsibility - CWE/ROCC Process Improvements: Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologiesBuild out and maintain fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) listsUtilize AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to synthesize informationServe as primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical mattersComplete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general objectives, and limitationsInterface with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to individual projectsSupporting Areas of Responsibility - Solar Inverter Team:Support component failure rate analysis and development of work plansBecome a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturerConduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sitesProvide assistance to field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issuesSupport the development of countermeasures for recurring issuesSupport responses to regulatory bodies for data requests Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineeringBachelor's Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems5+ years of engineering experienceUtility-scale inverter and power electronics experienceStrong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with operations teamsDesired Qualifications:Master's degree in electrical engineering2 years of experience with solar invertersSix Sigma Green BeltPrevious experience in operations support or control center environmentsImpellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
