Quality SupervisorLocation: Wheeling or Elk Grove Village, ILCompensation: $44–$47/hr (Total Compensation: Approximately $110,000–$120,000/year)About the Opportunity:Our client is a leading precision CNC machining manufacturer serving the aerospace, medical, and other highly regulated industries. They are seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the day-to-day inspection team while remaining actively involved in the technical side of quality.Although the title is Quality Supervisor, the scope and visibility of this role closely resemble that of a Quality Manager. You'll oversee inspection operations, drive accountability across the quality team, partner with leadership on production priorities, and play a key role in ensuring parts meet the highest quality standards.What You'll Be Doing:Lead and supervise a team of Quality Inspectors across daily manufacturing operations.Coordinate inspection priorities to support production schedules and customer delivery commitments.Provide technical guidance on inspection methods, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and dimensional verification.Support and oversee CMM inspection activities, including reviewing programs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate inspection results.Manage first article, in-process, and final inspection activities for precision machined components.Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to resolve dimensional and inspection-related issues.Mentor and develop inspectors while driving consistency, accountability, and overall team performance.Analyze inspection data and trends to proactively identify recurring manufacturing issues and recommend corrective actions.Help improve inspection workflows, efficiency, and overall quality performance on the manufacturing floor.What We're Looking For:5+ years of quality inspection experience within a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.Previous experience leading or supervising Quality Inspectors.Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, precision measuring equipment, and dimensional inspection.Hands-on experience supporting CMM inspections and familiarity with CMM programming concepts.Experience with first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspections.Ability to work closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations to resolve manufacturing quality issues.Aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision manufacturing experience is highly preferred.What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out:Leadership responsibilities that closely resemble a Quality Manager while maintaining a hands-on technical focus.Lead an experienced inspection team and have a direct impact on production quality and delivery.Heavy involvement with CMM inspection, dimensional verification, and precision machining quality.Join a stable, growing aerospace and medical manufacturing organization with strong advancement potential.Excellent earning potential with consistent overtime, bringing total compensation into the $110K–$120K range.Opportunity to grow into future Quality Management leadership within the organization.
