Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

START DATE: ASAP (flexible based on credentialing) ASSIGNMENT LENGTH: Ongoing / Open-ended SCHEDULE: Full-time hours required Specific shift times to be confirmed with the client WORKSITE SETTING: Urgent Care Clinic SCOPE OF WORK: Evaluate and treat urgent care and occupational health patients Assess patients and determine if escalation of care is needed (ER referral or specialty referral) Manage minor illnesses and injuries CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Urgent care visits (cough, cold, flu, minor injuries) Workers Compensation evaluations and follow-ups Simple laceration repair Incision & drainage (I&D) Toenail removals X-ray preliminary reads EKG interpretation VOLUME SUPPORT: Approx. patients per day, with growth expected Supervising physician available LICENSURES CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Active Texas medical license DEA required BLS certification DOT certification helpful, but not required NP or PA accepted No Travel Reimbursement EMR: Experity
