This position involves caring for high-risk neonatal and infant patients within a Level III or IV NICU setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day to qualify for this role.Job Details:Location: Seattle, WashingtonShift Time: DaysShift Hours: 12 hoursMinimum Hours Per Week: 36 hoursRequired Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 3 years of experience in a NICU, certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), experience with administration of blood and blood products, central line or implanted line care, neonatal medication dosages, and management of neonates 23-24 weeks gestation and 29-34 weeks gestation.Schedule: Includes days, nights, and weekends with patient ratios of approximately 2 per shift.Additional Information: Open to floating to different campuses, with occasional float to Pediatrics/NBN, Peds, Issaquah, or Edmonds for NICU as needed. Traveler must be open to working on a block schedule if preferred.Certifications: BLS, NRPSkills: Administration of blood and blood products, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, Feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), Neonatal Dosage Calculations, management of neonates 29-34 weeks, NICU Level III and IV procedures including therapy, ventilator management, thermoregulation, feeding tubes, PICC/Central Lines, neonatal surgeries, use of high-frequency vents, oscillators, and syringe pumps, attending high-risk deliveries.Additional requirements: Previous charge nurse experience preferred.Community hospital experience, trauma level experience, or long-term acute care experience not specified.Submittal requirements include two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years, during the compliance process and prior to start.Traveling professionals may be assigned as a "sitter" in some units; responsibilities may be limited accordingly.The unit consists of 77 beds with an average census of 50.Benefits:The benefits of taking a travel assignment with Cross Country include:Private housing or generous housing allowanceComprehensive health insurance with prescription coverageDependent health insurance with prescription coverageCompetitive salariesReferral bonusesTravel reimbursement401(k) retirement planDirect deposit/free checkingUnlimited free CE creditsCross Country Job ID #1267352.
