Paving Operators (Paver, Screed, Roller, Milling)

Job DescriptionIf you have the experience, we are seeking:Paver Operators- The Paver Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the asphalt paver. This position operates paving machines to spread and level hot mix paving material on subgrade of highways and streets with the aid of stakes and level gauges to ensure mix is placed to the proper grade and thickness.Screed Operators- The Screed Operator is a highly skilled position involving control and operation of the screed on the asphalt paving machine. Operate asphalt paver and or screed to apply asphalt per plan and quality specifications as instructed by crew superintendent to insure daily schedules/estimates are met. Screed operation on the asphalt paver involves making normal adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section of asphalt material via screed controls.Roller Operators- The Roller Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Breakdown Rollers and Finish Rollers. The Roller Operator distributes, breaks down, compresses and gives a finished surface to cooling asphalt. The first stage breaks down the asphalt mix with a breakdown roller.
