Since 1980, we have been the respected thought leaders in optimizing structures for tax, wealth and business planning.Role DescriptionToplitzky&Co is seeking a conscientious and motivated individual to serve in an expansive remit across the myriad services we provide, including tax compliance, income, gift and estate tax planning, business management and consulting, multi-family office, and more. The individual will interface with clients and facilitate client planning and tax research, and it is therefore necessary for this person to have strong English language communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare individual, business, and fiduciary income tax returns and gift tax returnsPrepare quarterly tax estimates for individuals and businessesEnsure timely and accurate filings, reports, and compliance obligations for all client tax mattersProactively develop and support clients’ business and investment planning opportunities, incorporating business and tax considerationsPrepare client presentations and business/financial models to facilitate business and tax planning ideasTax planning support surrounding client mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and JVsConduct tax research to create financial opportunities, resolve issues, and achieve superior outcomes for clientsAssist clients with the formation of new business entitiesCoordinate with clients’ investment managers, attorneys, agents, managers, etc.Oversee the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, accounting, tax work, and wrap-upIdentify and communicate tax matters to associates, partners, and clientsBuild relationships with clients and staffQualificationsGeneral understanding of basic accounting principles and tax rulesAbility to understand basic financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, etc.)A desire to obtain a CPA license is strongly preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have excellent client service skillsApproaches projects with a sense of urgencyHighly motivated and intellectually curiousOutstanding analytical, organizational and project management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to work from Company’s Beverly Hills offices five days per week
