Job duties: Job duties include, but may not be limited to: maintaining general medical inventory (including controlled substances); conducting medication administration; reviewing the overall health conditions of youth (i.e. preparing, reviewing and evaluating nursing intervention plans); ensuring that interventions are consistent with comprehensive treatment plans; participating in staff trainings; preparing required clinical and administrative reports; maintain infection control standards; and, serve as a member of the facility's medical treatment team. Additional duties to be discussed in detail during the interview. Qualifications: Licensed and registered to practice nursing in New York State. Hours: per diem, Shift: 6:30am-2:30pm PLEASE NOTE: Resumes are STRONGLY PREFERRED to be accompanied with all bids. **Background Investigation Requirements: 1) All prospective employees will be investigated through a Criminal Background Check (CBC), which includes State and federal Criminal History Record Checks. Prospective employees will be fingerprinted in order to obtain a record of their criminal history information. 2) All prospective employees will be screened against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR). 3) Prospective appointees will be checked against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL) maintained by the Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. All background requirement fees will be paid by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS), therefore there will be no background check reimbursement for this position. Once NYS OCFS is made aware of the awarded vendors selected candidate, the vendor will be provided the necessary forms for the SCR and SEL checks. Once the SEL and SCR forms are received and processed by NYS OCFS, the vendor's selected candidate will be contacted directly by NYS OCFS to schedule fingerprinting. After all results have been reviewed, the vendor will be provided with a start date for the selected candidate. *Best Value Justification: availability, work history, bid amount.
