Syntax has offices worldwide, and partners with Oracle, SAP, AWS, Microsoft, IBM and other global technology leaders.SAP Engagement DirectorThe SAP Engagement Director is responsible for overseeing projects within an industry vertical for a specified set of customers. They are responsible for working closely with the Vice President Delivery and the sales team to provide delivery expertise that will assist in the estimating of project timelines and budgets. This includes identify Syntax resources and managing those resources in the preparation of RFP responses, following up with clients on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction and providing project management expertise when required (such as vacation relief or escalation). The Engagement Director will often be required to accompany Account Executives (AE) on sales calls in order to have a better understanding of the scope of projects to be quoted. They will also assist the AE in the client management on an ongoing basis.The Engagement Director will be the first point of escalation for any issues that cannot be resolved by a project team. They will be required to work closely with the Director, Project Management Office, the Solution Architects and the Competency Leads to determine the availability of resources to work on upcoming projects. They also provide team coaching, evaluate the performance of team members and reinforce Syntax’s values through their actions and communication with the team.Desired Skills And Qualifications10+yrs in Project Management within the SAP World, Consulting considered a huge assetCompletion of 3 or more; full life cycle project implementations5+yrs of client management experienceHands on functional experience in one of the SAP modules requiredExperience within the Retail and Digital Manufacturing is high preferred.SAP Public Cloud Methodology Experience including the use of CALMDeliveryParticipate in the sales qualifying process for new projectsIdentify a team of Syntax resources and ensure their availability to assist in responding to RFPsManage the team in the process of responding to RFPs, ensuring all timelines for response are metParticipate in the preparation and presentation of sales material for potential new projectsActively participate in Steering Committee and project team meetings as requiredManage relationship with the client stakeholders in order to manage expectations for the solution to be deliveredProvide guidance to Syntax project manager and project team in resolving issues and escalationsProactively manage client stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story.Experience as a functional consultant an assetExperience as a project manager an assetEducation – Degree, MBA preferred PMP an assetWhy Syntax?Become a part of our success story and work in a company with exciting innovation projects that are causing a stir across the industry.
