Overview
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary arts, with experience in a restaurant or catering environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and ensuring food quality and freshness
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or relevant role
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with menu planning and food service best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience in fine dining or catering is a plus
- Certification from a culinary school is desirable
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and dietary restrictions
ServSafe certification is not require but is preferred.
