This role is essential to infection control, resident comfort, and overall community standards.What You'll Do Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, work areas, and officesPerform laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing personal and general laundryFollow deep-cleaning schedules and infection control protocolsReport maintenance and repair needs to the supervisorMaintain housekeeping carts, tools, and equipment in a clean and safe conditionEnsure proper labeling, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals in compliance with OSHA standardsUtilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is in good conditionAdhere to established cleaning routines and safety proceduresAttend required training sessions and staff meetings to support service quality and efficiencyPhysical Demands Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequentlyLift up to 25 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs.Crouch, kneel, balance, stoop, and bend as neededSafety Requirements Use PPE including gloves, gowns, and face protection as requiredWear supportive, non-slip footwearUse carts and casters to transport items safelyFollow OSHA standards for hazardous cleaning agents and SDS guidelinesReport all work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork Environment This position operates primarily indoors in a Skilled Nursing community with adequate lighting and ventilation.
