Experienced Dog Trainer (1+ Year in Dog Training) – Lakewood & Long Beach

Zoom Room Lakewood, the premier indoor dog training facility, is seeking passionate dog lovers to join our team. We use positive reinforcement training only and offer group and private classes in obedience, agility, puppy training, as well as enrichment classes and workshops. Our motto is: "We don't train dogs. We train the people who love them." So, when we look for new trainers, we're really focused on those with excellent people skills - great, articulate communicators. We also prefer applicants who deeply care about making a difference in the community as many of our clients have newly rescued dogs from shelters. This position includes teaching in-store group classes and private lessons, overseeing puppy playtime as well as assisting clients in scheduling their classes and helping customers pick out different products to meet their training and enrichment needs. In addition to teaching dog training classes, our trainers are also expected to work some customer service shifts. Responsibilities include: leading group training classes conduct one-on-one training sessions with dogs and their owners customer service supervising social events and playgroups assistance with front desk when needed cleaning of the gym retail product sales and plenty of head scratches and belly rubs!
