POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant (Graduate Assistant) serves to oversee the daily function of the Center for Global Opportunities and the various activities associated with it and manages the needs of the director. This year-round Staff GA position is available only to those pursuing post-graduate studies at Bob Jones University.Principle Duties And ResponsibilitiesAct as administrative assistant to the director by managing his schedule, correspondence, and daily needsProvide support to the coordinator of outreach and evangelismPlan and coordinate events associated with the CGO (International Student Orientation, REACH Week, etc.)Coordinate emphasis events such as special chapels related to the CGOFacilitate on campus recruitment by outside ministriesOrganize overall CGO schedule and maintain order in CGO areasCoordinate activities of BJU summer mission teams and missions internshipsCoordinate Missions Advance with the Student Leadership CouncilEngage with International Student Organization in conjunction with the directorServe as health insurance liaison for international studentsManage Timothy Program and WORLD Fund Program in conjunction with the directorRequired Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesExcellent writing, editing, and generally superior communication skillsSuperior people skillsCapable of exploring new data management systemsConfident in ability to multitaskAble to manage budgets and spreadsheetsPositive attitude, capable of working with others and converting ideas to practical applicationsSelf-starter; above average organizational skillsBachelor of Arts or Science degreeAn applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
