It involves active onsite collaboration with globally distributed teams, customers, and partners.Flowserve offers competitive pay, annual bonuses, medical benefits on day 1, generous paid vacation time, paid holidays, 401(k) and many other excellent benefits!ResponsibilitiesTechnology:Sharing knowledge by attending trade fairs, visiting possible technology partners, visiting customers and visiting Flowserve teams around the worldAnalysis of state-of-the-art technologiesAnalysis of existing mechatronic productsTechnical consultant and supporting of mechatronics development projectsResponsible for ideation, proof of concepts and technology projectsHardware solutions:Design of industrial and robust hardware (drive electronics, sensor measurement electronics and application controller)Design concepts (e.g. modularity) for partner hardware developmentDesign of enterprise platform architecture for mechatronics products and IoT HW solutionsDesign of enterprise hardware platform guidelines and concept descriptions for mechatronics productsAssist the embedded software development team for the hardware abstraction layer activitiesSimulation:HW design simulations (e.g. SPICE)Power electronics simulationElectronics system thermic simulationSW Application:Function specification of the product applicationJob RequirementsUniversity degree – Mechatronic, Automation, Electronics or similarMore than 8 years of professional experience in the mechatronics or electrical engineering is required.Extended knowledge for the design of modern control and application systemsExtended knowledge of interaction between electrical, mechanical, and physical systems – understanding of the complete mechatronics systemExtended knowledge of modern motor, drive technology and power electronics designExperience with integration and using of embedded hardwareExperience with planning and definition of automation systems or products with using COTS componentsExperience with measurement electronics developmentExperience with modern field bus technologies and industrial wireless communicationsExperience with hardware certifications (EMC, low voltage directives, UL, CSA)Experience with electrical explosion protection and intrinsically safe circuit designExperience with modern microcontroller technologyPreferred Experience / Skills:Fundamentals of embedded C/C++ programmingFundamentals of embedded software design and cyber security standardsFundamentals of information technologyTravel Requirements:Candidate needs to be internationally mobile and be prepared to visit other regions when required.
