We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team.Job ResponsibilitiesField observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, and reinforcing steelPreparation of reports documenting observations and test resultsCommunication with contractors and engineers to discuss observations and test resultsOpportunities for advancement based on performance, work quality, ability to obtain NICET certifications, and ability to obtain post-secondary educational degreesRequired Skills/ExperienceHigh School degreeValid Driver’s LicensePossess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skillsAble to perform rudimentary mathematic computationsAttentive to detailInterest in working outdoors on construction sitesCandidates must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outsidePrior experience on construction projects is preferred (2+ years)Possess ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification, or be able to attain within three (3) months of start dateCompletion of APNGA Nuclear Gauge Safety Class with U.S. DOT HAZMAT, or ability to complete within three (3) months of start dateOther RequirementsAbility to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit checkAbility to pass a pre-employment screeningThe compensation range for an Engineering Technician is between $20/hr to $33/hr. Compensation for this position may vary based on geographic location and other factors.
