Fleet Service Mechanic | Sunriver, OR

Job Description SROA is looking for a skilled and dependable Fleet Services Mechanic to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep our fleet of vehicles and equipment running safely and efficiently, while also supporting facility systems and maintaining Sunriver's fire vehicles. The work you do directly supports our community, residents, and emergency services year-round. We're seeking someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, enjoys variety in their day, and takes pride in doing high-quality work that makes a real impact.A Day in the LifeVehicle & Equipment Maintenance (Primary – ~80%)• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on gasoline and diesel vehicles• Maintain light- and heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and emergency vehicles• Operate diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues• Perform welding and fabrication repairs, including snow removal equipment• Install and modify equipment for SROA and partner agency vehicles• Ensure emergency vehicles meet NFPA and EVT standards• Accurately document work in maintenance management systems Facility Maintenance (~10%)• Assist with maintenance and repair of SROA buildings and infrastructure• Support upkeep of mechanical, lighting, and related systems• Collaborate with the Building Maintenance Technicians on projects and repairs Additional Responsibilities (~10%)• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment• Assist with preventative maintenance planning• Perform general labor tasks, including traffic flagging when needed• Operate snow removal equipment during winter conditions Qualifications & Certifications• Associate's degree or equivalent from technical or vocational school• 5+ years of experience in automotive and/or heavy equipment repair preferred• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification preferred• EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician) certification preferred or ability to obtain• Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred• Valid Oregon driver's license required• CDL Class B preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months - training and licensing costs covered by SROA• Ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Pay & BenefitsStarting Wage Range: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour (DOE).Full benefits package including employer paid medical insurance, generous paid leave, 401k with employer match and profit share, longevity bonus, access to recreation amenities for you and your family (pools, disc golf, fitness facility, tennis & pickleball courts).Pre-employment RequirementsBackground check, pre-employment drug screening, physical abilities test, and driving record acceptable to SROA insurers required.EOE.Need More Information?Contact Public Works Director, Mark Smith, at 541-593-2483.About SROAThe Sunriver Owners Association (SROA) serves a vibrant residential and resort community in Central Oregon.
