Proposal and Content Writer
I am working alongside an established law firm renowned for handling complex legal matters for institutional clients, and collaborate with a highly talented, team-oriented group of attorneys and business professionalsWe are seeking an experienced Proposal and Content Writer to join our Marketing & Communications and Business Development team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the firm’s business development efforts, with a primary focus on drafting and managing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), award submissions, and other client-facing materials.This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with attorneys, senior leadership, and business professionals across the firm to help win new business and strengthen existing client relationships.The role reports to the Managing Director of Marketing and is supported by the Senior Manager of Proposals and Content.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite, edit, and manage RFP responses from inception through submission, with guidance from senior leadershipCollaborate with attorneys and business development colleagues to develop tailored, persuasive proposal strategiesCoordinate proofreading, finalization, and on-time submission of proposals while managing an active proposal calendarPrepare post-RFP materials to support attorney client interviewsMaintain and update proposal templates, content libraries, and tracking tools, including win/loss reportingAssist in refining RFP processes, workflows, and reporting to improve efficiency and qualityResearch and draft submissions for industry awards and accoladesDemonstrate ongoing curiosity about the securities litigation landscape and the firm’s client baseSupport additional marketing and business development initiatives as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferredMinimum of five years of relevant experience, ideally in professional servicesPrior experience writing RFPs at a law firm, investment firm, asset management firm, or similar environmentExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detailAbility to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling messagingStrong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesComfortable working closely with senior leadership on high-priority, deadline-driven projectsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with content management or proposal automation tools; familiarity with proposal software is a plusWork EnvironmentFull-time, exempt position based in New York CityHybrid schedule: three days in office (Tuesday and Wednesday required), two days remoteCompetitive salary range: $90,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experienceIf you are a skilled writer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys turning complex information into compelling, high-impact content, we encourage you to apply by reaching out to .
