Program Director

Position Summary The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, supervising leadership staff, ensuring compliance with state and payer requirements, managing client services, and driving organizational growth. This individual will work closely with executive leadership to maintain quality standards while supporting staff development and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the behavioral health program. Supervise Team Leads Ensure compliance with Medicaid, managed care organizations (MCOs), and state regulations. Monitor productivity, documentation, and service delivery to ensure quality standards are met. Review operational reports and implement strategies to improve performance. Conduct regular staff meetings, supervision, and performance evaluations. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and staff retention. Collaborate with billing, quality assurance, and executive leadership to resolve operational issues. Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners. Monitor client satisfaction and ensure timely access to services. Support organizational growth initiatives and expansion efforts. Ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently followed. Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work environment. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or social services. Experience managing Medicaid-funded programs preferred. Strong understanding of behavioral health documentation and compliance standards. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Licensed clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) preferred but not required. Experience with Skills Training, Targeted Case Management, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, or similar community-based services. Knowledge of Texas Medicaid regulations and managed care organizations.
