Events Bartender - (usually 5 to 6 hours on Events) $20.00 Hour plus Tips - Must have valid current liquor license

Events BartenderThis position is responsible for drink orders during events in non-gaming areas such as concerts in the event center and or even assist with VIP events on the hotel side. The position is accountable to receive cash payments and maintain their ending balance without any shortages/overages. Also required to make sure they follow all rules and regulations and that all company expectations are maintained. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable federal/state/local laws. As well as all Policy and Procedure and mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority (OMDA).Essential duties and responsibilities include ensuring the operational viability and profitability of the F&B Department through the coordinated/cooperative efforts of all co-workers and F&B Supervisor. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by reporting to senior management.Non-gaming operations include greeting guests and team members eagerly upon arrival at the casino/hotel, always maintaining a proactive guest service approach. Prepare basic drinks and ensure they are per guidelines and ensure overall quality product satisfaction. Prepare basic drink items per recipes and be accountable for following these guidelines to ensure consistent products and over guest satisfaction. Always maintain a clean and safe work area. Be able to assist with guest questions by being knowledgeable regarding promotions, events, specials, areas, and locations of casino. Maintaining attendance to ensure Events and Guest has necessary coverage to provide efficient guest service standards.Regulatory compliance includes performing all duties in accordance with company team member handbook, objectives of the Otoe Missouria Tribe, internal policies, procedures, and controls, as well as applicable laws.Organizational growth/development includes judgment/decision making and communications. Tries to keep informed of company event schedules and coordinate with supervisor about their availability.Qualifications include prior customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred. Must have excellent customer service/communication skills. Must maintain a neat and professional appearance and always uphold the company appearance standards. Must maintain good posture and poise throughout your shift.Experience and education include previous bartending experience. Two bartenders work the VIP Events together and then the Event Center Bar together and split the tips. If they have a barback or additional help they will need to tip them out as well. If they are working at a freestanding beer stand those tips are not shared. All tips are calculated at the end of each shift and added to the next check. High school diploma or GED preferred. Proof of a current liquor license. At least six (6) months bartending experience in a full-service bar and/or restaurant preferred.Knowledge, abilities, and skills include ensuring the operational effectiveness of the event bars through the bartending team. Serve as a role model to staff and management by performing duties professionally, interacting with customers, managers, staff, and community with integrity while maintaining a positive working environment that encourages cooperation and respect for all. Helps in maintaining a workplace that is comfortable, clean, and fun. Understanding safety of its staff and customers along with the security of the casino's assets. Helps ensure the smooth delivery of products to the guests as it pertains to staff and customers. Strives to improve the overall operation of the bar and the customer experience by quick, professional interaction and delivery of products. Interacts with customers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction as pertains to the bar operations. Leads by example, follows direction, and ensures all aspects of the operation are met and delivered. Always mindful of ways to save/generate revenue for the casino, especially pertaining to the bar operations. Holds him/herself accountable above all normalcies for the good of the department. Knows his/her weaknesses and seeks help/advice in those areas. Accepts full responsibility for all failures and fixes said failures ASAP. Seeks help/advice from the bar supervisor or manager as needed. Knows and follows all policies and procedures. Follows all city, county, state, federal & tribal laws. Understands that it takes a TEAM to accomplish our goals, vision, and objectives. Assisting all staff and leading by example as the customer satisfaction process continues always preaching "100% Customer Satisfaction". Provides self as necessary to all staff and management. Under all circumstances, reaches towards calmness, tact, and creativity to ensure the continued confidence of the public and staff. Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to all guests & staff. Able to multi-task: able to serve multiple guests and beverage servers at one time. Must know cocktail/bar mixes and follow all recipes for all drinks including utilizing proper equipment and garnish for all related beverages. Up-sells all products as an additional method of increasing sales. Knows and promotes current casino events and programs and can assist guests with questions. Uses the 10/5 rule: 10 feet-make eye contact and smile, 5 feet-greet and speak to the customer. Good interpersonal skills and knowledge and basic understanding of bar equipment. Available to work required schedule when needed. The ability and drive to deliver genuinely great service and to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests. Must work well as a team and maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies. Keeps working area clean and organized and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of their areas. Complete all assigned duties as required. Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit, climb or balance and stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. May be exposed to heat and cold and all-weather conditions depending on department area. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. and push, pull or drag up to 60 lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Work environment includes occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particulates, including second-hand environmental smoke. Regularly exposed to extreme heat and cold and all-weather conditions. Noise level in the work environment is mostly loud.
