American Chiropractic Medical Services (ACMS) is a rapidly growing multi-disciplinary outpatient medical clinic building toward a first-of-its-kind model in St. Clair County. As part of our expansion and business funding growth plan, we are hiring an experienced Medical Assistant for a leadership-track role within our clinical team.
This position is not entry-level. It is designed for an MA who is confident clinically, comfortable with responsibility, and interested in advancing into a senior or lead role as the practice expands.

Understand documentation, compliance, and clinical flow

Prefer a professional, structured environment over a “basic MA” role
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient intake, histories, and documentation of chief complaints
Accurately measure and record vital signs with efficiency and consistency
Assist physicians with outpatient exams, procedures, injections, and wound care
Prepare patients for diagnostic testing, including X-ray and imaging workflows
Operate EHR systems with minimal supervision; ensure clean, compliant documentation
Assist with ICD coding support and billing-ready clinical documentation
Provide clear, professional patient education on treatment plans and care strategies
Maintain clinical room readiness, safety protocols, and infection control standards
Support administrative workflows including scheduling coordination and patient follow-up
As the clinic grows, assist with onboarding, training, and clinical workflow optimization
Required Experience & Qualifications (Read Carefully):
Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience required
Strong working knowledge of:
Medical terminology
Anatomy & physiology
Clinical documentation standards
Medication administration basics
Proven experience using EHR systems in a clinical setting
BLS certification required (active)
High level of professionalism, reliability, and situational awareness
Strongly Preferred (Leadership Indicators):
Experience in emergency medicine, trauma, inpatient, OR, or high-acuity settings
Familiarity with multidisciplinary or multi-provider clinics
Exposure to internal medicine, geriatrics, medical-surgical, or specialty care
Comfort taking initiative, problem-solving, and supporting junior staff
Interest in future roles such as Lead MA, Clinical Coordinator, or Supervisor
