Entry Level Linux Software Engineer

Jacobs/BlackLynx Linux Software EngineerJacobs/BlackLynx seeks a qualified and highly motivated Linux software engineer to work in either the Rockville, MD or Chantilly, VA office, and to begin immediately.Position Responsibilities:Collaborate with a team of engineers to design, implement, and test high performance computing productsSupport and maintain high performance computing products and related documentationInteract with team members to define and derive requirements and understand use casesCollaborate with hardware team members to support design, integration and test activitiesResearch current technological trends and participate in research projects for future productsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fieldRecent graduate to 3 years of relevant professional software development experience using C++ on LinuxUnderstanding of object-oriented design principlesFamiliarity and understanding of Linux operating system concepts including kernel, memory, I/O, networking, file systems, and multi-threaded design principlesStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong collaboration and communication skillsU.S. citizenshipCapable of obtaining a security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Relevant professional software development experience using C++ on LinuxEmbedded software development experience (to include kernels, device drivers, file systems, etc.)Experience developing high performance computing related softwareFamiliarity or understanding of basic signal processing conceptsKnowledge and experience in designing for and interfacing with FPGAs, GPUs, and other specialized hardware devicesKnowledge and experience in AI and machine learningTS/SCI clearancePosted Salary Range: Minimum $80,000.00 to Upper $110,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
