CDL Class B Driver (Temporary Assignment)The Temporary Driver Class B is responsible for safely operating company refuse trucks, including right-hand drive vehicles, and transporting equipment, containers, or materials to and from customer locations. This role supports operational needs on an as-needed basis and may assist with deliveries, pickups, route coverage, and other transportation-related duties. Hours may vary week to week based on business demands, customer schedules, and operational needs.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSafely operate Class B commercial vehicles, including refuse trucks and right-hand drive trucksPerform deliveries, pickups, route coverage, and transportation services for customers and job sitesConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns immediatelyEnsure loads are properly secured and transported safelyFollow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company safety procedures, and customer site requirementsMaintain accurate logs, delivery paperwork, and required documentationCommunicate professionally with dispatch, operations, customers, and team membersAssist with general yard, shop, or operational support duties as neededMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles and equipmentRepresent the company in a professional manner at all timesQualificationsValid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requiredAcceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirementsExperience operating refuse trucks and/or right-hand drive commercial vehicles preferredAbility to safely operate vehicles in residential, commercial, industrial, and construction environmentsAbility to work flexible and variable hours, including overtime or weekends as neededStrong attention to safety and situational awarenessReliable attendance and dependability requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift throughout the workdayAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionallyAbility to enter and exit commercial vehicles multiple times per shiftAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsWork EnvironmentThis position operates primarily outdoors and may involve exposure to traffic, dust, noise, weather conditions, and industrial environments.ScheduleThis is a temporary position with variable hours based on operational and customer needs.
