This includes, but is not limited to the chassis, body, water pumps, electrical components, and engines. Operate and inspect this equipment and evaluate the best course of action to return the apparatus to a safe operating conditionExamine parts for damage or excessive wear using their own and company provided specialized toolingRepair, rebuild, overhaul, and replace defective assemblies and components such as gauges, air fittings, plumbing lines and valves, hydraulic lines, various pumps, and basic engine components Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency and safety prior to releasing the apparatus for duty.RequirementsWhat We’re Looking ForDiesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy duty or emergency vehiclesValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to pass pre-employment screeningWho Does Well HereMechanics who take pride in their workTeam players who also work well independentlyPeople who like variety and solving problemsTechnicians who value clean shops and doing things the right wayWork Environment And Physical DemandsThis role includes standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing.
