If you'd like to know the company before requesting an intro, just email us at hello [at] fractionaljobs.io‍The CompanyDescription: We are building a new kind of accounting firm for growth-stage SaaS startups, one that runs on agentic AI workflows.Stage & Proof Points:5 current clients (Series B and C)‍About The WorkProblem: The founder is playing the Controller role with the company's clients, and is looking to focus more on Sales now.Specifically, You'll:Own the client relationship for several accounts as their primary point of contact and outside accounting leadOwn the overall financial outcome and accounting qualityOwn the monthly close and financial reportingRun monthly financial reviews and checkins with each clientReview financial statements, close deliverables, reconciliations, and accounting conclusions before deliveryHandle ad hoc requests like audit support, tax provision prep, and diligenceWork with the founder to sharpen the firm's AI tooling and workflows to service clients more efficientlyReview the work of the offshore team and AI workflows, applying judgment to catch errorsFlag friction points and repeatable tasks so new workflows can be builtWe expect the work to average out to about 40 hrs per month, though front-loaded in the first two weeks to handle the monthly closes.About YouYou MUST have:Held controller, head of accounting, or dirctor of accounting titles at growth-stage tech startups (Series B or later)Deep expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606This should be where you've spent most of your time, not AP/GLSignificant experience with SaaS and/or usage-based revenue modelsAn AI-forward approach to your work - you should be excited to use AI tooling and workflows to run accounting in a brand new type of wayBased in the USA onlyNice-to-haves:A Big Four backgroundA revenue accounting specialty (e.g. revenue controller, head of revenue accounting)Experience supporting audits, fundraising, or M&A diligenceFamiliarity with modern ERPs (e.g. Rillet, Campfire) or AI tools for accounting How To Get In TouchHit that "Request Intro" button below.
