Eagle Ridge offers an academically rigorous education that uses a time-tested, Classical, liberal arts curriculum.Responsibilities:Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher (e.g. reinforcement of IEP goals and objectives, etc.) for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives as well as providing an opportunity for all special education students to participate in classroom activities.Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc. for the purpose of supporting teachers in the classroom.Collaborates with supervising teacher(s) or other staff as assigned for the purpose of communicating information, resolving issues, and providing services in compliance with established guidelinesMonitors special education students (e.g. classroom, field trips, lunchroom, playground, during life enrichment activities, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.Hours are 7:15am to 3:15pm. Minimum Qualifications include:High School Diploma or equivalentApplicants must be considered Highly Qualified (HQ) to work as a special education paraprofessional by their start date per the Minnesota Department of Education.Applicants meet the HQ requirement if they have:Two years of study at an institution of higher education; Minnesota's standard; A minimum of 60 semester credits or the amount required to complete two years of full-time enrollment as determined by the institution attended ORAn Associate's (or higher) degree; Minnesota's standard: An AA, AS, AAS, (or higher) degree ORReceived a passing score on the ParaPro, ParaEducator, or ParaPathways Assessment.Salary: $21.50-$26.99 per hourPosition : Full-time, school yearBy joining the faculty of Eagle Ridge Academy, you will become part of a community that embraces liberal arts education, believes in continual growth and education for its professionals, and supports collaboration in learning for students and teachers.
