Network Security Engineer

Overview In this contract role, you will lead hardware and software BOM activities, coordinate capital hardware rollouts, and ensure accurate delivery and installation across remote sites. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to uphold network design integrity and provide clear technical documentation. Your expertise will support highly available carrier-grade networks and complex deployment projects. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate hardware and software BOMs based on client designsEnsure accurate tracking of material deliveries to client facilitiesManage receipt and confirmation of capital assets across inventory systemsOversee rollout and installation of capital hardware at remote sitesMonitor vendor progress and manage installation activitiesCommunicate status to internal and external stakeholders via calls, reports, and documentationProvide expert knowledge of carrier and enterprise network infrastructureMaintain clear, precise technical documentation and reportsDemonstrate high accuracy in complex deployment projectsExplain configuration principles to stakeholders in verbal and written form Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology7 years of advanced router and switch configuration and system administration experience, at least with CiscoExperience with Brocade and Juniper is a plusStrong knowledge of highly available networks and the OSI modelExcellent verbal and written communication with ability to share detailed technical documentationAbility to work on complex deployment and modification projects with accountabilitystrong communication skillsattention to detailaccountabilityrouter and switch configurationCisco hardware and softwareBrocade and Juniper familiarity
