Dishwasher
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation for all glassware, tableware, cookware, and kitchen equipment using both machine and manual cleaning methods. This role ensures the dishwashing area remains clean, safe, organized, and fully operational at all times. As a vital member of the back-of-house team, the Dishwasher supports kitchen efficiency and contributes directly to a safe, sanitary, and high-performing culinary environment.Essential Job FunctionsSort, rinse, and properly load dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, pots, pans, and utensils into dish racks for machine washing Unload, sort, and stack clean items; transport to appropriate storage areas or cooks’ lines Rewash items as necessary to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met Change dish machine water at least hourly and monitor wash and rinse cycle temperatures; notify management if temperatures fall below safety standards Wash pots, pans, trays, and other equipment by hand as required Set up and break down the dishwashing area before and after service Clean, roll, and unroll floor mats Fill and empty soak tubs with appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solutions Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring surfaces remain clean and dry Assemble and disassemble dish machine components for cleaning Remove trash and garbage to designated dumpster areas; maintain cleanliness around exterior dumpster areas Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed Wipe up spills immediately to prevent slips and maintain a safe work environment Perform other job-related duties as assigned Pay: $18 / hour plus tipsQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
