Staff AccountantLocation: Pittsburgh, PAJob Type: Contract-to-HireSchedule: Monday-Friday | On-SiteCompensation: $24-29/hourJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and cash applications. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to grow within an organization.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable transactionsPrepare and review billing and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryApply customer payments including checks, ACH, and credit cardsPerform cash application and research unapplied or misapplied paymentsAssist with general ledger reconciliations and account analysisPrepare and post basic journal entriesSupport month-end close activitiesMaintain accurate financial records and documentationCollaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support accounting operationsAssist with audits and ad-hoc accounting projects as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred2-7 years of accounting experience, including AR/AP exposureExperience with billing and cash application processesFamiliarity with accounting systems or ERPs a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUPSStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesWhy This RoleOpportunity to gain well-rounded accounting experienceExposure to multiple areas of the accounting cycleCollaborative team environment with room for growthCompetitive compensation based on experiencePay Details: $24.00 to $29.00 per hourSearch managed by: Molly Moorfoot Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
