Beyond this, our operations drive economic growth and improve health and education outcomes in the regions we serve, supporting over 3,700 direct jobs globally.Guided by our values—Care, Respect, Integrity, Performance, and Teamwork—we strive to be a trusted company people want to work for, partner with, and invest in, creating lasting value for all our stakeholders.Job DescriptionThe Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will repair and maintain associated plant equipment for the mill in line with achieving our performance objectives.JOB RESPONSIBILITES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Troubleshoot and repair AC & DC circuits and control equipmentTroubleshoot and repair single phase motors and three phase electrical systemsTroubleshoot various input elements of control loop, including pressure, temperature, density, mass and flow measurement devicesTroubleshoot various final control elements of control loop, including discrete and continuous devicesTune operation of control loopsPerform PLC troubleshooting and correctionUse of Megger, Multi Meter, Rotation Meter, Power Quality MeterTroubleshoot Guided Wave and Non-Contacting RadarTroubleshoot and repair VFDTroubleshoot and Maintain Soft Starts as well as Across the LineAble to use proper PPE; Arc Flash protection and FR rated clothingFamiliarity of conveyor belts and their componentsAble to work on voltages up to 24.9K DCOther duties as required. Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see. Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday. Work is in a surface mine plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required. Employees are regularly required to stand, sit, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, possess manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see while performing their duties. Employee may be required to operate common vehicles and small 4x4 roving vehicles in off-road and adverse weather conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor setting, manufacturing or plant environment and may include a hard hat, single or double hearing protection, safety glasses, hard-toed footwear, respirator, protective clothing, gloves, and/or other protective equipment.
