Company DescriptionA busy professional family in Fort Walton Beach is hiring a part-time Household Assistant to help keep our home running smoothly Monday through Friday. We're a household of three plus two large, friendly dogs, and we run our home with the same structure and consistency we apply to our professional lives.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, in-home position in Fort Walton Beach, FL, starting June 1, 2026. The schedule is 2.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday (12.5 hours/week), with a preferred window of 12:30–3:00 PM. We are flexible on timing as long as the shift falls between 9 AM and 5 PM. The role is structured as a 1099 independent contractor position.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, living areas, and bedroomsLaundry — wash, fold, and put away (multiple bin types with specific detergent/cycle instructions)Unloading the dishwasher and resetting the kitchenVacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dustingManaging grocery and household supply inventory; placing delivery orders for review and approvalTaking out trash and managing weekly trash/recycling pickupCaring for two friendly dogs (feeding, fresh water, daily oral medications mixed into food)Scheduling regular grooming appointments for the dogsLogging completed tasks and notes daily in a shared Google DocA full written operations manual is provided at hire, covering every routine, product, and standard in detail — you'll never have to guess what's expected.QualificationsReliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal directionStrong attention to detail and consistency — the home should look and function the same way every dayComfortable around two friendly, medium-to-large dogs (70 lb and 52 lb)Comfortable administering daily oral medications mixed into dog foodAble to follow written SOPs preciselyStrong communication skills — daily written log updates and proactive group texts for urgent itemsOwn reliable transportation requiredSmartphone required (for grocery apps, shared Google Doc, and group text)Prior experience as a housekeeper, household manager, nanny, or in a similar role is a plusDiscretion and respect for family privacy — this is a position of trust
