Physician Endocrinology - Competitive Salary

Job DescriptionEndocrinologist (MD/DO)Must be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which you are assignedPosition SummaryThe Endocrinologist provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of disorders of the endocrine system. This role focuses on hormonal and metabolic conditions through evidence-based medical care, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize long-term patient outcomes.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and lipid abnormalitiesDiagnose and treat complex hormonal imbalances and metabolic conditionsDevelop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plansProvide outpatient endocrinology care and inpatient consultation services as neededInterpret and manage endocrine-related diagnostic testing and laboratory studiesCollaborate with primary care providers and specialists such as cardiology, nephrology, oncology, surgery, and obstetrics as appropriateEducate patients and families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and lifestyle managementSupervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers, diabetes educators, and trainees as applicableMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationParticipate in quality improvement, population health, and patient safety initiativesComply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standardsQualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical schoolCompletion of an accredited internal medicine or pediatrics residency programCompletion of an accredited endocrinology fellowship programBoard-eligible or board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and MetabolismAbility to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensureDEA registration or eligibilitySkills and CompetenciesExpertise in endocrine and metabolic disease managementStrong clinical judgment and diagnostic reasoning skillsExcellent communication and patient counseling abilitiesAbility to manage complex, chronic conditions over timeCommitment to evidence-based, patient-centered careWork EnvironmentOutpatient endocrinology clinics with possible inpatient consult responsibilitiesCall coverage as determined by practice or service needsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout clinic and hospital environmentsManual dexterity for examinations and office-based proceduresVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment
