Software Asset Manager Analyst

Seeking an experienced professional to lead and optimize enterprise software intake and governance process. This role will serve as the central liaison between business teams and key partners including Legal, Security, and Architecture to ensure efficient evaluation and approval of new technologies.This is a high-impact opportunity to take ownership of a currently fragmented process and drive meaningful improvements in speed, transparency, and scalability.Key Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end software intake and approval lifecycleConduct intake sessions with business stakeholders to understand software needsPartner with Legal, Security, Architecture, and IT to drive approvals forwardIdentify bottlenecks and streamline workflows to reduce approval timelinesImprove governance processes and enhance visibility into request statusSupport the development of a standardized, scalable intake frameworkQualifications:5–7+ years of experience in IT governance, software asset management (SAM), vendor management, or similarExperience working with software intake, approval, or onboarding workflowsStrong understanding of cross-functional approval processes (Legal, Security, Compliance)Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to drive process improvements and operate with urgencyPreferred:Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM toolsExposure to software licensing, vendor risk, or asset management practices
