VUTEk Operator (Large-Format Digital Print Production Specialist)We are seeking a detail-oriented VUTEk Operator to set up, operate, and maintain large-format EFI VUTEk printing systems. This role requires strong color management skills, mechanical aptitude, and hands-on experience in high-volume print production environments.The ideal candidate will ensure consistent, high-quality output while working closely with prepress, finishing, and shipping teams to meet strict production deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate EFI VUTEk wide-format printers, including loading media, inks, and curing systemsPrepare and manage print files, including color management, ICC profiling, and soft proofingStart up, calibrate, maintain, and clean printers according to manufacturer and company guidelinesMonitor print output for quality, color accuracy, and consistency throughout production runsTroubleshoot printing issues and coordinate with service technicians when necessaryManage media inventory, supplies, and basic production maintenance tasksEnsure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and production proceduresCollaborate with prepress, finishing, and shipping teams to meet production deadlinesDocument job settings, production parameters, and quality checks for repeatable workflowsQualifications3+ years of experience in large-format printing (VUTEk/EFI experience strongly preferred)Strong knowledge of color management, ICC profiles, and print proofing workflowsFamiliarity with RIP software such as Wasatch, Caldera, or EFI FieryExperience with file formats including PDF, TIFF, and EPS for print productionMechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic printer maintenance and troubleshootingStrong attention to detail with commitment to high-quality, color-accurate outputAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment with tight deadlinesGood communication and teamwork skillsAbility to stand for long periods and lift materials as required in production settings
