DescriptionVeterinary ReceptionistColorado Canine Orthopedics is currently seeking a Full Time Veterinary Receptionist. This position requires superb communication skills when interacting with co-workers and clients alike. Candidates must be dedicated team players, self-starters and thrive in a busy, stimulating, and fun environment. Friendly, dedicated, detailed, and service-oriented problem solvers will find this position very rewarding. Duties include greeting clients and pets, answering phones, processing payments, and managing medical records. Clerical skills such as typing and navigating sophisticated veterinary software programs and common computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. are required. Training will be provided for veterinary specific programs.To be considered for this position, in addition to submitting your resume, we would like to hear from you about why the position interests you, and how your skills and experience would add value to our team.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner, both in person and over the phoneSchedule appointments, record keeping and organization, provide estimates and invoices for paymentRespond with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situationsMaintain a clean and orderly lobby and front office areaWillingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team membersConstantly advance your knowledgebase and customer service skillsSkills and Qualifications:1+ years' experience in veterinary or medical practice requiredMinimum 2 years’ customer service experience required (retail, food and beverage, etc.)Computer experience and proficiency required (email usage, word/excel, operation of office equipment such as fax machine, copy machine, and postage meter)Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits, make changes, and process payments utilizing credit card and check terminal, Excellent communication skills with clients and team membersProficient time management, ability to solve problems, learn, and handle multiple tasksEnthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
