Our company supports the growth and future of the Aerospace industry and is looking to add several Plating assistants to our team to contribute to our advancement.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAbrasive blasting parts per customer specificationsClean parts for the stress relief processPlacing parts in the Stress and Embrittlement ovens per the customer specificationsConversion coat plated parts per customer requirementsPolishing non-plated surfaces on finished partsStripping non-conforming parts per customer specificationCount partsFill out paperwork correctly for work doneMove parts physically and in the ERP system to other locationsHelp platers as neededTo meet the needs of our customers and colleagues, you are expected to be at your desk/station and ready to work at your designated start time.CompetenciesAbility to read and understand procedures and job travelers in EnglishAbility to solve practical process or procedural problems/issuesDetail oriented and have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced processing environmentPhysical DemandsAbility to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting or standing for extended periodsLifting & carrying items which may weigh up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work Full time, 1st shift or 2nd shift1st Shift – 7:00AM to 3:00PM (Monday thru Friday)2nd Shift – 3:00PM to 11:00PM (Monday thru Friday)Overtime may be requiredMay be asked to work weekends with little to no noticeWork EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Occasionally working in high or low temperaturesThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate decibelsOccasionally works in hazardous conditionsRequired to wear personal protective equipment such as glasses and hearing protection (PPE)Working around some machinery and chemicalsAdditional Eligibility QualificationsMust have an acceptable criminal history background checkMust pass a drug test
