Registered Dietician

Oakdale Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center is seeking a Registered Dietician to join their team on a casual basis, 16 hours/week (2 days). The dietician will be responsible for creating the diets of patients and maintaining proper dietary standards. Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher Licensed Dietitian (required) Skills: Strong attention to detail. Positive attitude needed to provide excellent customer service. Ability to maintaining assigned work hours: Has sufficient endurance to perform tasks over a long period of time. Ability to perform essential job functions: Must have the ability to perform essential functions without posing a “direct threat” to resident or other staff. Essential Functions: Performs nutritional assessment of new and existing residents Develops residents care plan with measurable goals quarterly or as needed; updates care plans as required Evaluates resident's outcome at least quarterly Calculates nutritional needs of all tube fed residents upon admission Consults with nursing department to evaluate needs of patients With the assistance of the Food Service Director: Create menu plans that are both appealing to the residents, meet dietary guidelines and adheres to the department budget.
