Requires mechanical aptitude to set up rollers, monitor material flow, and troubleshoot in high-heat environments.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate mill stands to shape billets into rebar.Adjust rollers, guides, and stands to meet specifications.Monitor heating, speed, and cooling processes.Inspect product for defects and dimensional accuracy.Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and roll changes.Troubleshoot misalignment, cobbles, and mechanical issues.Maintain production, yield, and downtime records.Adhere to strict safety protocols for hot materials and moving machinery.Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma/GED; industrial or steel mill experience preferred.Proficiency with gauges, micrometers, and calipers.Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic systems.Ability to work in fast-paced, high-heat environments.Working ConditionsExposure to extreme heat, dust, and noise.Physically demanding (lifting, climbing, standing).Required PPE: hard hat, steel-toe boots, and heat-resistant gear.Overtime and occasional Sat shifts required.
