Fabrication & Welding Supervisor

The Fabrication & Welding Supervisor is responsible for leading shop personnel and overseeing fabrication and welding projects to ensure they are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to quality standards. This role coordinates scheduling, labor allocation, equipment usage, and daily shop operations while collaborating with Production Managers, Project Managers, and other departments.The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in industrial fabrication, machining, and welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, SAW, and SMAW. Expertise in reading blueprints, welding symbols, schematics, and working with steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized metals is required.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support fabrication and welding personnelManage project schedules, labor, materials, and shop workflowTroubleshoot shop issues and provide training and guidanceEnsure compliance with quality, safety, and operating standardsMaintain safe, clean, and efficient shop operationsCoordinate with Project Managers and department leaders to meet project goalsOversee equipment maintenance and safe operationConduct performance management and support employee developmentQualifications5+ years of metal fabrication and welding experienceStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExpert ability to read fabrication drawings and schematicsExperience with measuring tools, quality control, and fabrication equipmentStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlinesValid driver’s license requiredWorking ConditionsThis role is primarily based in a fabrication shop environment with occasional outdoor work. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
