Client Support Specialist

CLIENT SUPPORT SPECIALISTThe Client Support Specialist’s primary role is to provide timely and effective support to the business community regarding daily operations while leveraging the IT Support Ticket system. This includes desktop support, application support, network access, printing, training, and other support as needed. This role also assists with projects and initiatives following the company’s IT strategy.Core Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToInstalling, configuring, monitoring, and deploying desktop hardware/softwareManaging the IT Ticket SystemInvestigating and resolving infrastructure issues and escalated support requestsUpdating software/hardware with the latest patchesDesktop and printing performance optimizationProvide training for software applicationsProvide effective mobile systems accessAssist in maintaining the local area networksAssist in providing backup and recovery operationsAssist in supporting telecommunications operationsStay current on IT trends and newsPromote and train the business community on IT best practicesRequirementsEducation: A.A.S. Information Technology or two years of equivalent experienceExperience: Entry level up to one year of experienceKnowledge of AD, latest Windows OS, desktop hardware (HP, Microsoft), iOS, Apple iPhone and iPad, basic networking, printing, MS Office, Outlook, Project, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Skype for Business, Teams, Citrix XenApp, Endpoint SecurityWilling and able to travel as necessary to offices and job site locationsAbility to provide 24 hours per day, 7 days a week coverageCompensationThe minimum and maximum hourly pay that O’Connell Electric Company, Inc. believes in good faith to be accurate for this position at the time of this posting is between $24.00 to $27.00 an hour.It is important to O’Connell Electric that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate.
